Don’t we all wish we could eat whatever we want and not have to suffer the consequences? Unfortunately, we cannot have the same diet as teenagers. As adults, we’ve gotta be cautious of what we consume. There are some common health issues women face when it comes to digestion and some foods we may need to cut out our diets after a certain age?

As women, it takes longer for food to be excreted from our bodies when compared to men. This leads to higher risks of gallstones, gastritis, and even irritable bowel syndrome. This is often why many women feel bloated nauseous most of the time. What we consume every day, affects our health. There may be some products that we may be unaware of, that impact our health negatively.

If you are experiencing any of these symptoms, the first thing to do is schedule an appointment with your Primary Care Doctor. Next, take a look at the foods you are eating. You may be allergic to a product or even have a lactose intolerance. The easy way to test this is to forgo lactose for a week and see how it impacts your body.

Ultimately, changing your diet will be the first step to improving your digestive health. Start by reducing the number of sugary foods, wheat, and dairy products you consume. Create a balanced diet filled with fibers, which will help speed up the process of the digestive system. Drink lots of water and ask your doctor to recommend a nutritional supplement for daily intake.
