When I scroll through my social media feed each day, I see POWER. I see women who are bold, who have decided to live their best lives. I see this now because I decided to take inventory of what I allow to be an influence in my life. I had to remind myself that unfollowing sites, pages, and people who no longer bring me LIGHT is OK. For a while there it was almost as if we women gave up on showing the world that we are not catty, self-absorbed creatures who thrive on drama (bear with me).

Ladies, I believe enough is enough. I truly want us all to live each moment to the fullest. I want us to be confident in our own skin, I want us to feel good about our bodies, and our reflections in the mirror! I want us to own our finances and accomplishments unapologetically.

I’ll even be as bold to say I only want to be around women who feel the same way! Gone are the days were I tap dance around the insecurities of others or I downplay my own station in life for fear of offending another woman. I realize now that I will never grow if I don’t except myself, flaws and all, and if I don’t walk boldly in my NOW.

I created Brunch and Slay because I wanted to cultivate relationships with other women who felt the same way I did. I want to be surrounded by their energy. I want to get to know them, I want to support them, and I want to build with them. I understand that some may think it selfish or it’s an exclusion that I want to focus on surrounding myself with empowered women, however, I like to think of it as the “Birds of a Feather Flock Together” mentality. I sincerely sense a change on the horizon for us as women and I have to be a part of it. Brunch and Slay is a “Life Style” and being a part of it says that you, too, believe your Self, Health and Wealth are paramount.

As you continue to get to know me and the Brunch and Slay brand, you will see that community, empowerment, inspiration, and beautiful experiences are where we all connect! Yes, I am on a mission to build a fortress of women who support each other, who work with each other, and who continue to grow together… But my mission is also about the experience.
