Having trouble sleeping?

Are you having trouble sleeping?  Even with all the tiredness in your body, are you tossing and turning in bed. If you answered yes to any of these questions, I’m sure you want to know what’s the cause. I’m sure you want to know what will restore your sleep beloved sleep?

As a child, most of us despised naptime but now as adults, we look forward to any sleep we can get. With all the stress, insomnia, and busy schedules, a proper nights sleep is hard to come by. At times, it seems like we’re lucky to get five hours of sleep at night.
The question is: Why is it harder to sleep as an adult compared to a child?
Well, growing up is really the simple way to answer that question. Responsibilities like jobs, children, and other life obligations seem to take a toll. With all the stress of day to day life, sleep is not always easy to find. Lack of creating set sleeping times and nightly routines keep us in a constant state of tired.

So, what can be done to improve our sleep?

1. Set an appointment with your Primary Care Doctor to discuss any health problems you may be unaware of or any current medications you are taking.

2. Watch your food intake along with getting in regular exercise. Obesity can lead to insomnia, so activity is very important to follow.

3. Take a look at your environment. Create a peaceful, dark and tranquil environment. Use your essential oils like lavender to provide a calming atmosphere.

4. Try natural sleep aids like chamomile tea, Melatonin. Using natural supplements prevent the groggy feeling that prescription drugs often leave behind.
